Inoculation

I heard Billy Graham talking about how he would have to get cholera shots before going to some foreign countries. He described how the shot would give him just enough cholera to keep him from getting the "real thing".

He went on to say that many folks who call themselves Christians are like that. They get just enough religion in them to keep them from getting the Real Thing.

Nice analogy. One must count the cost; I think I want a revelation about how half-decisions affect my life.

James mentioned that it isn't even reasonable to expect to receive anything from God when one isn't of one mind. Why do I give in so often to the temptation of the mind that promises an ability to serve two masters with half-measured decisions?

You've got that right. The last couple of weeks I've really been reaping the harvest of a multitude of "half-decisions" and things that I have neglected to take care of. It seems they all came due at the same time and I've gotten a revelation the hard way as to how my neglect costs not only myself but my family. I've got no one else to blame but myself, and I definitely need a every bit of grace and strength that only Jesus can provide to overcome.
