Matthew 4:4 - But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God [Deut 8:3]
1. Man shall live by every word - authority and applicability of scripture
2. Every word proceedeth out of the mouth of God - scripture is inspired and spiritually discerned
3. It is written (not was) - scripture is pure, preserved, and accessible
